My thoughts on Autumn starting nursery
Time has seemed to elapse in a really strange way since becoming a parent. Sure, those early days (or rather nights) often felt so long, but the years have gone so quickly. I can’t believe I have a 3 year old! It seems almost impossible that that little bundle has turned into a proper person who talks and has her own little personality in such a short period of time. Now, next week my baby is off to nursery and I have a whole mixture of emotions!
3 alternative party ideas for the Tween in your life
Collaborative Post¦ It seems like only yesterday you were bringing them home from the hospital in their car seat, watching them take their first steps and waving them off on their first day of school. But now, you’re living with a precocious preteen and you’re wondering where your little girl has gone.
As a parent, getting a preteens birthday party right isn’t easy: you’re the parent of a tween who seemingly acts like a teenager but is definitely still a child… and yet they’re far too grown up for a traditional birthday party, but still far too young to be left unsupervised. As a parent, it’s difficult to get it right – it’s a proverbial minefield!
If you already have some gifts in mind – click here for 10 year old gifts for a girl if you need a little inspiration – then that will certainly relieve some of the pressure you’re under. But what kind of party has just the right level of adult involvement and yet at the same time, makes them and their friends feel like the grownups they want to be? Read on for 3 alternative party ideas for the tween in your life.

Below are some definitions and explanations that will help you learn the language of reverse mortgages.
Miscarriage: the thing I hoped would never happen
***Trigger Warning – Miscarriage*** I’ve felt the need to write this post for a couple of weeks now. I’ve tried a couple of times, but it’s always so difficult to start. Perhaps this will be the time I start typing and don’t falter over my words, only to delete them all again. It’s been just over a month now since our miscarriage at 5 weeks. I want to write about it, with the hope that it will help to heal me in the way that writing has helped me so many times before. Hopefully it will also serve as a comfort and reminder to others that they aren’t alone. Not everyone talks about it, but so many have suffered this.
How to Spot a Stolen or Unsafe Used Car
Collaborative Post¦ Car purchases can be one of the biggest expenses that you deal with, even when buying second hand. You could be spending hundreds or thousands on buying a car, so you need to make sure you’re buying something reliable. Buying a car from a dealership is often the best way to go, but you can be tempted by some great deals from people selling their car privately. It can be an easy way to buy the car you need, especially if you’re looking for an affordable price. However, it certainly won’t end up being as affordable as you thought if it turns out the car is stolen.
Self Confidence Is A Stone’s Throw Away
Collaborative Post¦ As a mum, self confidence is not always going to our strong suit. As soon as our bodies change during pregnancy, there’s no going back. Well, we want to try and change that. We know that self confidence is only a stone’s throw away, all you have to do is look in the mirror, and tell yourself it will. With a lot of determination and drive, you can have any body, and any life that you want to have. To kickstart that drive right before the New Year, we’re going to show you why self confidence is only a stone’s throw away.

Beat That!: The family game you need this Christmas!
Review¦ Whether I’m gathering with friends or family at Christmas, we all enjoy playing a good board game! Now, Beat That! is a little different. Whilst it doesn’t have a board, you do need a large flat space like a dining table. You also need to prepare to make a fool of yourself and laugh a lot while doing all sorts of odd challenges! It’s advertised as 11+ but you could easily modify it so that younger children can play. Our 3 year old loved having a go at some of the challenges.
