Review: Mindful Lil Minds Breathing Meditation Buddy

Review (Gifted)¦ Modern life is stressful. It’s never too early to help your child to start looking after their mental health. Mindfulness and meditation is a great way of doing this, helping them to manage their emotions and be more present. This is where the gorgeous Mindful Lil Minds Breathing Meditation from GP Flair comes in, making meditation for kids easy.

Suitable from ages 3 and above, a press of this cute and cuddly koala’s paw guides them through 5 minutes of meditation. Its tummy moves up and down as it ‘breathes’, just as your child’s does with the breathing exercise. It has floppy arms and legs, a weighted beaded bottom and a subtle eucalyptus scent to its tummy. As you can imagine, it’s very comforting to hold whether you’re meditating or not. The voice is very clear and calming.

Regular use of these meditations will undoubtedly put children in a better headspace. However, the koala is great for situations where they’re feeling stressed or worried to help to refocus them. If there’s upheaval in your child’s life or if there’s something they’re worried about, like starting school after the summer holidays, this little guy could really help them.

Ways To Play

There are 4 ways to play:

  • Your child can sit the koala in front of or next to them. They can then simply press his paw to start the meditation, close their eyes and listen.
  • You can use the koala as part of a group. Face the toy towards the group or class and let them close their eyes and follow the meditation.
  • Laying down with the koala laying on your chest with your hand on its tummy is my personal favourite way to enjoy the meditation.
  • Last but not least, your child can hold the koala to their face while they meditate in order to smell the calming eucalyptus

Mindful Lil Minds Breathing Meditation Buddy is out now at Amazon, Very and all good toy shops.
