Review: Tutti Rouge – The Fuller Bust Company

Gifted¦ I’ve previously complained on my blog about how difficult I find it to find bras in my size, never mind ones that are good value for money! I have the issue of having a small band size, whilst having an E cup. Well, Tutti Rouge (The Fuller Bust Company) have come to my rescue! They were launched in 2011 as a specialist fuller bust lingerie brand, but have actually been designing DD+ lingerie for over 25 years! They now sell supportive bras as well as comfy bralettes and sexy bodies for those who have been blessed in the boob department, as well as knickers to match. Recently I’ve put some of their lingerie to the test!

A quick browse of the Tutti Rouge website will suggest that they’ve finally nailed the big bust problem. Their bras for people with big boobs are beautiful and don’t look like they belong on a 90 year old. Customers seem happy too, with many glowing reviews from ladies of all shapes and sizes.

I’m currently breastfeeding my 5 month old and have really been struggling to find anything that makes me feel like ‘me’ and doesn’t cost the earth. Underwire is a no-no before 6 months, as it can increase the risk of mastitis. I’ve had it 3 times and felt awful. As such, I can see me avoiding wired bras for the rest of our breastfeeding journey to be on the safe side.

So, when Tutti Rouge recommended some of their duo bralettes for me, I was excited to try them out.

Triangle Bralettes

First off, I tried the Rougette Duo Eco triangle bralettes. These come as a two pack in cobalt and blush. Priced at £25, that’s only £12.50 per bra. Great for just lounging around in as they’re so comfy, they have adjustable straps. I found that this really helps to make them feel more supportive – a must with a fuller bust! They start from a 30DD/E/F (my size) and go all the way up to a 48FF/G.

I’m increasingly concerned about the environment, so love that they’re made of recycled mesh. I was a little concerned that it might be a bit itchy. However, I needn’t have worried as they’re so soft and comfortable.

The cobalt is my favourite, but the blush actually goes really well with my pale skin tone. This will make it great under clothes where there are sheer panels that you can see straps through, as they’ll be barely noticeable.

I also adore the detail on these bras. The heart buckles for adjusting the straps are so cute!

Crop Bralettes

I also tried the duo eco crop top style bralettes. These are slightly cheaper at £23, which is brilliant value. The same sizes are also available in these and they come in pink and white! I’m not usually a ‘pink person’, but the colour of this feels so springy and summery.

Personally, I find these a little less supportive than the triangle bralettes. However, I think this is as I have a very short torso so the lack of strap adjustment on them really makes a difference to me. I can see these actually being more supportive for people who aren’t petite like me!

Once again, they are made of super comfy soft mesh! While the pink one is fun, the white one will certainly be a staple. The crop style doesn’t have hook and eye fastenings, but is quite stretchy and easy to get on and off over your head.

Breastfeeding

So they’re actually my size, a good fit and value for money. My final test was “Can I breastfeed in it?” Well, evidently, I can!

The style of the triangle bra allows me to just pull one cup over to the side. Meanwhile, the stretchiness of the crop style allows me to easily just FOO (flop one out). This well-known acronym in breastfeeding circles means I can get a boob out over the top.

Hooray, I finally have nice things to wear rather than the same 3 tired old frumpy bras I’ve been wearing since pregnancy. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on Tutti Rouge and seeing what else they bring out that’s suitable for me. As they go down to a 28 band I should be covered even if my band size goes back down as I lose baby weight. Therefore, I look forward to trying some of their wired bras out in the future too!

Fellow big-boobed friends, try them out ASAP!
