Sudocrem 90th Birthday Candle Giveaway

Gifted¦ Sudocrem is such a staple item – and not just for parents! It can help all kinds of things, including insect bites and acne. In recent years, people have become much more aware of these and the fact that it’s not just for your baby’s bum! It’s something I’ve used throughout my entire life. When I open a pot, that lovely gentle scent feels instantly soothing before I’ve even applied it. As such, I was delighted when I found out that Sudocrem had made a limited edition candle in celebration of their 90th anniversary! And now I’ve teamed up with them so that you can win one of your own!

Review: Stylish Mum Breastfeeding Jumpsuit

Review (Gifted)¦ When you’re a breastfeeding mum, the way you shop for clothes changes. I used to buy clothes that my boobs wouldn’t come out of easily. Now, all my shopping decisions are made on how quickly I can whip them out. Many people opt for the one-up-one-down method and I do sometimes. However, I find clothes specifically designed for nursing the most practical. I’ve tried several well-known shops, but then I stumbled across Stylish Mum and I haven’t looked back! The latest item I’ve put to the test is the recently released jumpsuit.

Making memories last this autumn

Sponsored Post¦ I’m in the midst of one of the points of my life I’m going to want to remember the most. My children are growing so fast and I just want to capture every moment! This month alone, we have made so many new memories. I’m so thankful that we live in a time when it is so easy to take photos, as we always have a phone to hand. Gone are the days when we had to think about the expense of film. Gone too are the times of waiting to see how your precious photos turned out, only to find a stripe of colour across them where the film had gone funny or that you’d put your finger slightly over the lens.

There’s a lot of life admin skills that we should understand, so what are these, and how can they help us?

An awesome day at BlogOn Xmas 2021

It has been a LONG two years since the last in person BlogOn conference. It was fantastic to be back at The Coppid Beech Hotel in Bracknell with other bloggers for a day of learning, networking and fun on Saturday! In fact, I’m still buzzing as I write this! If you’re a blogger reading this, I’m pretty sure that you’ll have heard of BlogOn. It is always an amazing day out thanks to Laura at Tired Mummy of Two (BlogOn’s founder) and her team of helpers. It’s so inspiring – and if you haven’t heard, the goody bags and raffle are EPIC!

Revisiting Masha and the Bear

It’s been over two and a half years since I wrote a blog post about why I banned my toddler from watching Masha and the Bear. It quickly attracted a lot of attention and I spoke on the radio about it. Even today, it remains one of my most read blog posts…and my most trolled. Many people are  supportive in an over-the-top kind of way about Masha and the Bear, it would seem. However, I’m sure everyone has programmes they don’t like their child watching. Especially if it effects their child’s behaviour in a negative way. Even more so if their child gets scared or upset by it. I don’t personally see how changing the channel as a result of that makes me a ‘pathetic millennial snowflake’. Quite recently I’ve had a couple more weird comments from people which brought Masha and Masha back to the forefront of my mind. It feels like time to revisit it.

Common Ailments You’ll Inevitably Get

Collaborative Post¦ Nobody likes getting sick. It’s something that everyone can expect at various points throughout their life. Some illnesses can even pop up relatively regularly. Thankfully, these are all relatively minor, and you shouldn’t have too many problems recovering.

You’ll want to speed up this process. With how common many illnesses are, there are some that you could expect to get. That means that you can take preventative measures to minimize your chances of getting them.

It also means that you’ll know what kind of treatments and recovering time you can expect. Some infections and conditions will be much more likely than others. While you can’t avoid getting sick, you can be prepared for it.

Back to dance school with Bloch

Collaborative Post¦ It’s not just regular schools that have started up again this September. Dance schools are now back too, hooray! Autumn has always loved dancing. In fact, she first started dancing on my first Mother’s Day when she was 6 months old. She heard some music and started smiling and wiggling from side to side, moving her chubby little arms around. For years, she seemed content just dancing in whatever way her mood took her. However, recently she’s expressed an interest in ballet. As a child, I did modern, Irish and a little bit of tap. Therefore, it was very exciting to sign my daughter up for dance lessons and choose her ballet clothes from Bloch.

Training: Why It’s Important!

Collaborative Post¦ If there is one mistake that many small businesses make, it’s not providing enough training to their staff. Employee training is often neglected, leaving small businesses with fewer staff and a much higher turnover. The businesses themselves worry too much about wasting time on training when really, it’s not a waste at all. Training is going to be the backbone of your business, and without it, you will end up with dissatisfied employees and a failing future. Larger businesses often skip out on training and they don’t realise how much of a difference it can make to their staff. Not only that, but without training, you are not furthering your employees’ futures. They come to work for you with the idea that their future is in your hands. They have goals and wishes, and you are able to make them come true if you help them to further their knowledge and expertise.

As a business leader, you have to put yourself in the shoes of your staff, and your customers, when you think about it. Your customers need to know that your staff can cope with queries, but an untrained workforce is often a dangerous one, certainly to the reputation of your organisation. No matter the size of your business, compliance training and other training types are vital to the continuation of the excellent reputation that you have built for yourself. It has to include health and safety training, security training, online software training and more. Whether you employ three people or three hundred people, training has to be well timed, effective and targeted. The right training courses in your business do so much for your employees, and we’ve got some of the reasons it’s important.

Funny things my 4 year old says

This week, half a decade has passed since I gave birth to my beautiful daughter. If you’ve been reading the blog for some time, you’ll know that since she could talk, I’ve done a round-up of some of the funniest things she’s said that year. Children are just so adorably funny. I love looking back on these! This year has provided many more hilarious moments.
