Preparing a short break to Devon
Three days exploring Cornwall with a toddler
At the end of August, we squeezed a little holiday to Cornwall in. We wanted to surprise my family and kept costs down by camping. This was a little nerve-wracking, as it was Autumn’s first time camping and we were approximately a 7 hour drive from home! We were only there for three days, but we managed to pack a lot into them!
Camping with a toddler for the first time!
Last week we went for a short break to Cornwall for a few days to surprise my family who were already on holiday there. You could easily be forgiven for thinking I’m a little bit crazy, given that I was going camping with a toddler for the first time, a seven hour drive from home.
An Arriva adventure to Kent Life
Catching the bus is a daily experience, usually taking people from A-B for work or school. How often do we think outside the box and go for a day out on one, though? Last weekend we decided to do just that and go for an adventure on Arriva’s 155 Chatham to Maidstone bus. We took Autumn to Kent Life, as she absolutely adores animals and we knew she’d have lots of fun!

Preparing a short break to Wales
Wales is a beautiful part of the British Isles. It doesn’t matter which part you go to, there is plenty to do and see. We have visited Pembrokeshire each year since 2015, when we went there for our honeymoon. However, I’d love to visit Snowdonia and go for a short break in Cardiff!
3 things in 15 minutes to feel more “you”, less “mum”
As wonderful as motherhood is, a lot does change and that takes some adjusting to! I often find myself putting on the same combinations of jeans and t-shirts or jumpers each day. Once I’ve finished work, I slap on some concealer and foundation, quickly put a brush through my hair and rush off to collect Autumn from her childminder. With all the additional things to do in my daily life, I’ve definitely not taken care of myself as much. I’ve been meaning to paint my nails for weeks now, but they’re still bare. Does this sound like you?
It’s so important as mums to give ourselves a bit of self care, in whatever form that comes. This post is about 3 things I do to feel a bit more like “myself” in 15 minutes and hopefully it will inspire you too! After all, surely 15 minutes is achievable every once in a while?
Review: Esqido Gin & Tonic Lashes
I’ve been a big fan of false eyelashes for years now. Occasionally I wear them in the day, but I mostly wear them for a special occasion or if I’m going out somewhere. With some lashes, I feel a little too aware that I’m wearing them and sometimes they look too much or too little. When Esqido approached me to try out some of their lashes, I was intrigued. With celebrity fans including Rihanna and Victoria’s Secret angels including Gigi Hadid, I had to see what all the fuss was about.

Review: Axkid Minikid Rear-facing Car Seat
When I was pregnant with Autumn I researched everything I could think of that I might need to know about parenting. Once she was born, it turned out there was a LOT I hadn’t thought of! However, one thing I had looked into a great deal was car seats. I’d read a lot about the benefits of extended rear-facing and was determined to keep her in a rear-facing car seat for at long as possible. Over the last few months, we’ve been trying out the Axkid Minikid.
