Tea: Why do British people love it?
Today, the 21st of April, marks National Tea Day. There can’t be many more British things to celebrate than it. We have loved it since it first arrived on our shores in the 18th century. Whenever people gather together, they drink tea. Whenever something shocking happens, it is made to help.
Engagement ring – does size matter?
As I’ve previously mentioned, when Dave and I got engaged I was 18 and he’d turned 19 the day before. He was in college, only had a Saturday job and most of his money from that went towards petrol and car maintenance in order to get to work and college. As such, he didn’t have much money spare to buy me an engagement ring and had put a lot of the money he received for his birthday the day before towards it.
Car maintenance tips to avoid breakdown
When you’re a parent, one of the last things you want is for your car to break down. With children in the car, a breakdown becomes even more of a nightmare! While you’re on the way to pick them up is potentially worse. Fortunately, there are things that you can do to make this situation less likely.
Mrs Tickit’s Pantry and Rochester High Street
Last week, my Mum and I decided to pay a visit to Rochester. I love Rochester, with its many pubs and eateries. It also has a lovely variety of quirky shops, perfect for finding gifts for people or something unusual for yourself. I think it is one of the few places where you could probably find something for everyone.
Are young parents bad parents?
When I found out I was pregnant last January I’d just turned 24 years old. I was the same age in September when I gave birth to Autumn. I thought that was probably quite average, I didn’t think it was that young to become a mum for the first time. However, when I started going to baby groups I usually found that I was the youngest there. In one of the groups, a first time mum was only a few months younger than my mum!
How to choose a date for a wedding
Congratulations, you’re engaged. Hopefully you’ve got through the “I’m engaged, now what?” phase and are now trying to work out how to pick a date for your wedding.
Hopefully this list of 4 things you should consider will help!
Baby & Toddler Show at Sandown Park and Bluewater Bunnies
We had a lovely day out on Saturday (8th April). We went to the Baby & Toddler Show at Sandown Park in Surrey. I’m always on the look out for new brands whose products I can try with Autumn. Of course, being a blogger, I’m always interested in working with brands too! Later in the afternoon we found some Lindt bunnies at Bluewater before we went home.
Sunday Review: Band t-shirts for mum/dad and baby!
Last year, shortly after I found out I was pregnant, my Dad’s friend told me about Little Rock Store. Since then I’ve been eager to own some of their merchandise. I love rock and metal, so to be able to buy mini band t-shirts for my baby is awesome! As well as other things like bibs, they also sell lullaby versions of some of my favourite albums.
When I found out I was pregnant
I’ve really enjoyed my When I found out I was pregnant guest series over the last few weeks. We’ve had such a variety of stories! I’ve been asked whether I’m going to share my story, so I thought I would!
I hope you enjoy reading my story and please do check out some of the ladies’ stories too!
