Results With Lucy: My Experience
At the end of last year, I met some lovely ladies from Results With Lucy at the very first South East Bloggers Club meet. I’d been thinking about trying to get fitter, partially inspired by my husband. He started using The Diet Plate and going to the gym a few months ago. He’s lost so much weight and become a lot healthier. When it comes to me and exercise, I need something that’s going to keep me interested. Likewise, it also needs to fit in with my lifestyle.
Local Business Spotlight: Playopolis board game café
In January, I decided to start writing about a local business each month. This is actually February’s post, which has been somewhat delayed due to other projects and my personal life! At the beginning of the year, I celebrated my birthday along with two friends who also have theirs in the same week. We enjoy board games, so trying out a board game café called Playopolis in Rochester, Kent, seemed like a great idea!
Family Traditions Around the World
In the United Kingdom, our culture is built on many traditions that we uphold every year. Bonfire Night, Maypole dancing and cheese rolling are just some of the traditions that feature in the British way of life, but what others feature around the world?

Whether it’s for a date night or something less fun, there’s always a first time that you have to leave your baby or toddler. This is often difficult the first time round, but it does get better! In the meantime, there are things you can do to make it easier for both you and your child.
Progressing swimmingly with Puddle Ducks!
A couple of months have passed since my last update on Autumn’s toddler swimming lessons with Puddle Ducks. She’s had lessons (with a break in the middle) since she was a three month old baby and she’s now 17 months. Over the last few weeks, though, I have really noticed her skills developing quickly. It’s amazing to see!
Mother’s Day on a budget at B&M
Wow, I can’t believe it’s that time of year again already. It still feels very wintery but Mother’s Day is just around the corner! This year it falls on 11th March, so there’s not much time to get your Mum’s gifts sorted out. I recently shopped for Mother’s Day at B&M and you can get so much for your money! If you’re on a budget, or even if you’re not, it really is the place to go. So, what did I see? Furthermore, what could I get for the £20 in my pocket?
Kia Optima Sportswagon – The Perfect Family Car?
We recently had the pleasure of being asked to review a Kia Optima Sportswagon, to be a little more precise, a 2.0 GDi PHEV automatic. Stylish and full of mod cons, the Optima PHEV is Kia’s first plug-in hybrid model. We had the car for the weekend. Two days wasn’t long, but we tried it out the best we could in that time in a bid to unleash its full potential!
Finding the perfect engagement ring
Realising you want to marry someone and spend the rest of your life with them is euphoric. However, it can be nerve-wracking trying to work out how to propose to someone. Of course, a huge part of the proposal is the engagement ring. Choosing the right one is worrying; how do you know she’ll like it? I’m here to help you find the perfect one!
Do I need to check my wheel alignment (tracking)?
I’ve previously written about the importance of checking your tyres and how to do it. I briefly mentioned wheel alignment, also known as tracking. However, I didn’t go into much depth about it. So, how do you know when you need to check your tyre alignment to see if it’s right?
