Risky Roads: Why Are Our Roads So Dangerous?
Planning a Family Trip to Ireland
Collaborative Post¦ We really enjoyed our last family holiday to Bluestone, Wales. So, have gone online and tried to work out where we will go next.
One of the possibilities is Ireland. It is has a reputation for being a family-friendly destination and the journey is not prohibitively long. If, like us, you may be travelling to Ireland – what you need to know about travel insurance and much more is outlined below.
Why Crossover Hybrids Are The New Family Favourite
Collaborative Post¦ Picture a normal family sedan. It’s 5-doors, not as long as a saloon but not as short as a hatchback. Now picture a 4×4 offroad car and mush them together. What you get is a car that’s known as a crossover. It’s not quite a hatchback although the shortened wheelbase is similar. It’s not a saloon or sedan but does have plenty of boot space. This new crossover type of car is also known as a hybrid because of this merger. It’s by far becoming the new family car because you have the best of both worlds. That begs the question what will happen to the hatchback and the standard non-luxury sedans? Well, if the crossover can continue to evolve it will force those two types to become more and more unique. They no longer fulfil the family duties as well as the crossover type, so now all eyes are on the types of cars that can. Let’s consider what a family needs in a vehicle.
Guest Post: Is Society Sexist?
I’m papa to two wonderful children, a boy (6) and a girl (2). For the sake of this post, let’s call them Norman and May.
Norman is very anxious; he is naturally scared of the world and things he doesn’t understand.
May is amazingly confident and outgoing, already she isn’t afraid to express things or push boundaries. She’ll go so far as to protect and support her brother if he’s upset!
As a parent, seeing your child show so much compassion so young is overwhelmingly beautiful. I am extremely proud of both, even when pushing me over the edge, my babies are beacons of light and positivity in my life.
This aside, I have one concern for my daughter right now. Equality.
Guide To Excel Programming
Collaborative Post¦ Excel programming is the key to unlocking the full potential of the Excel programme. However, this means different things to different people, depending on their familiarity with the programme. To some, using functions and formulae to perform basic tasks and calculations are ‘programming’, while to others automating the processes you perform most often would be ‘programming’. Excel consultants can help with all levels of Excel functioning. They can be used to correct a single formula that you just cannot get to work or to perform a full check of your existing Excel systems and automate or speed these up.
Easter Afternoon Tea at Wyevale Garden Centre
Gifted¦ On Thursday, some of my family and I went for Easter afternoon tea at Elm Court, a Wyevale Garden Centre based in Gillingham, Kent. Before we went, I took a good look at the menu (who doesn’t?) The additions of hot cross buns and prosecco made this afternoon tea extra special for this time of year. Everything on the menu sounded brilliant, so I was just hoping it would live up to my expectations.
Taking winter whites through to spring neutrals
Gifted¦ It’s finally spring, although the weather doesn’t seem quite sure about that yet. At this transitional time between colder windy ones days and sunnier warmer ones, it’s time to think about bringing your winter clothing through to this season. By changing up a few things and bringing in some neutrals, you can give your winter whites a new lease of life.
Planning The Perfect Day Out With Your Kids

Collaborative Post¦ Days out with your little ones are an amazing way to make memories. Whether you stick close to home, or explore further afield, it’s always exciting to discover somewhere new together. Many of us will clearly remember day trips from our own childhoods, and want to give that same experience to our children as well. However, it’s also true that days out with small children can be fairly stressful – there are a lot of things which could potentially go wrong. With careful planning, you can make sure that you all enjoy your day and have a lovely trip.
Surviving a Road Trip with a Toddler
Collaborative Post¦ Holidays with young children can be beautiful. Most parents today work incredibly hard. We juggle jobs with keeping our homes clean, side hustles and social lives, on top of looking after our children. It can often feel as though life is passing us by. You might find that your children are growing up without you getting time to enjoy them. A holiday is your chance to stop. To take some time away from the stresses of home life and to enjoy your family. It’s an opportunity to spend quality time together, enjoying your little one’s quirks and passions, as well as tourist attractions, beaches and the occasional cocktail by the pool. It’s also a rare chance to see the world through a child’s eyes. As adults, we’re often a little grumpy. You might find travelling stressful, or find yourself annoyed by things like queues and the other less glamorous sides of holidaying. Kids don’t. They see the world with excitement and joy. They see only the pleasure in a new location, and they take everything in their stride. Letting yourself get carried away with their enthusiasm can allow you to see the world in a way that you haven’t for a long time. It’s amazing.
But, holidays can be expensive. Especially if you’ve got an older child and you are tied avoiding term-time breaks. Many young families can’t afford package holidays or exotic trips abroad. Some families go years without more than a few days away because they simply can’t afford the high costs of travelling as a family.
Get Out and Grow with Sudocrem
Press Trip¦ Did you know that less than 10% of children can name a single variety of English apple? A shocking number of children in the UK don’t know many of the basics about fruit, vegetables and herbs grown in this country. A large number are unable to identify basic gardening tools and 73% have never grown a sunflower. A couple of weeks ago, we attended an event at Clifton Nurseries in London for the launch of Sudocrem’s Get Out and Grow campaign.
