Reuben’s christening and how I planned it
How You Can Promote Your Local Event
Collaborative Post¦ To point out the obvious: Without attendees, even the most carefully orchestrated event will perform poorly. If you are extremely fortunate, the main attraction will be a minor celebrity, which will help bring more people to your event.
However what if you do not have the luxury of celebrities? How do you get the most out of your event marketing especially if you are on a limited budget? Fortunately, there are numerous strategies for getting your local event noticed.
How To Engage the Local Community to Drive Growth
Collaborative Post¦ No matter the size, every company needs to constantly think of ways to stay relevant and drive growth. Growth ensures that the company will succeed, whereas staying static and doing nothing can be an indicator of bad health in the business model. When you are thinking of ways to build up your brand, why not develop strategies to help you engage with the local community. It doesn’t matter what type of business you are in, whether you are predominately online or not, community engagements give you great PR moments and can help with word-of-mouth growth. Everyone uses the internet, including the people next door, and who knows, they may well be your best potential customer. So, let’s think of ways you can boost your brand in the local community:
7 games to play on a long car journey
Sponsored Post¦ Long car journeys can be boring enough for adults, let alone children. The universal moans of “Are we nearly there yet?” are something every parent dreads. Unfortunately, they even happen on a 20 minute journey with Autumn. I can only imagine how much it would grate on us if we were going on holiday, driving hundreds of miles. We’ve not been on holiday since just over a year before the pandemic began and I am desperate to get away.
Before going for a trip it’s so important to prepare. For instance, you may need day insurance for your car and to go to the shop to stock up on snacks and drinks! Other than snacks, I have a few other tricks up my sleeve to keep Autumn occupied when we do go on holiday again! We’ll kill some time by playing these 7 games.
Honeymooning With Your Extended Family
Collaborative Post¦ For many couples looking at booking their honeymoon, sharing the experience with extended family will be something that will be an essential part of their planning process. This could be due to the fact that they are a slightly older couple who already have their own children and would like to combine a family holiday with their honeymoon, or it could just be that they want to share the experience with their whole family. Whatever your reasons for wanting to honeymoon with your extended family, we have put together everything that you need to think about when you are booking this.
Review: Learn-To-Sit™ Floor Seat
Review (Gifted)¦ I was recently sent a Learn-To-Sit Floor Seat™ to review from Summer Infant. At the time of writing, it retails for around £54. It also comes with removable toys and a snack tray. Reuben and I have been putting it to the test and I’ve also been taking a look at its competition! Read on to see what I’ve thought.
Deciding what to do with our staircase
Collaborative Post¦ Last year when we found out we were expecting Reuben, we almost immediately started looking for a larger house. Autumn’s old room simply wasn’t big enough for two children to share! After some searching, we found one just around the corner. Thankfully, this meant we had to make absolutely no changes to our lifestyle! So far, my brother has got most of the way through rewiring the house. Soon we’ll be able to start on the decorating jobs. Our old house had a staircase as soon as you opened the front door, with walls either side and no hand rail. We could have fitted one, but it would have made it hard to get large items up and down the stairs. In this house, however, the staircase is in the living room. It’s nice to have a proper bannister and hand rail again.
Making plans for our new garden
Collaborative Post¦ We moved into our new house in November. Well, I say new. It’s been 8 months since we moved in, although it certainly doesn’t feel like it! The only thing we’ve managed to do so far is the majority of a rewire, some plumbing work done and some brickwork repointing. As for the garden, I’ve barely even touched it. With Reuben arriving at the beginning of January, I’ve had my hands full! That hasn’t stopped me from dreaming about what I’m going to do with the garden though.
5 tips for decorating your child’s bedroom
Sponsored Post¦ We moved house a few months ago and have done quite a lot of work already. None of it has been aesthetically pleasing things yet – just plumbing work and a rewire which is still in progress! However, I can’t wait to buy building materials and start decorating my 4 year old daughter‘s bedroom. I have lots of great ideas already! Hopefully I can help to inspire you too with these ideas to help your child’s bedroom look amazing!

If you’ve got a family, then you’ll know just how stressful it can be to stay on top of all things finance-related. Just when you think you’ve got a solid grasp on things, something pops up that gives you more sleepless nights. While this is very much an unwelcome element of family life, it’s important to remember that there are always things you can do that’ll keep your financial stress to a minimum.
In this blog, we’ll run through some of the most effective tips. Take our advice, and it won’t be long before you’re feeling a lot calmer — and you’ll likely find that your finances are in a much rosier position, too.
