Songfinch: Personalised song review
Songfinch are a US based company who offer personalised songs. You may not have heard of them, as they are a relatively new business.
I wanted to get my husband a unique and personal gift for our second wedding anniversary later this month. When Songfinch got in touch with me, I thought the concept behind ordering a personalised song sounded wonderful. I was eager and excited to try it out!
Father’s Day MAM Soother Giveaway
With Father’s Day coming up, the lovely people over at MAM have contacted me to give away two ‘Made With Love’ soothers to give away to my wonderful readers!
Autumn has been using her MAM soothers since she fell critically ill at two weeks old. She’s now 8 months old and we haven’t looked back!
Emma’s Diary Baby of the Month photo session
If you’re a new mum or mum-to-be, you’ve probably signed up to Emma’s Diary and collected your free goody bags. A letter to my daughter at 8 months old
Dear Autumn,
Wow, you’re 8 months old! It seems like no time at all since I wrote the first one of these letters to you at 4 months old. Now you’re twice that age! You’re so big now that I struggle to carry you, especially when you’re in your car seat.
So, what have you been up to this month?
10 little things that make me happy
I was tagged by the lovely Becca at My Girls and Me to write a blog post about 10 little things that make me happy. You can read her post here.
I’m writing this at a time that the attacks on Manchester are still very fresh in people’s minds. However, it’s important to remember that even at times of adversity, good can be seen. It’s important to remember not to take life for granted and focus on the little things that make you happy.
5 reasons you should have a 4D baby scan
When I was pregnant with Autumn, Dave and I were umming and ahing over whether or not to have a 4D scan. When my Mum said she’d found a voucher for Window to the Womb in Bexleyheath on Groupon and that she’d pay half of it, we decided to go for it. We booked it it when I was 32 weeks + 2 days pregnant and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Here are five reasons why you should have one done:
The Baby Show, NEC Birmingham
If you’ve been following my social media, you’ll know that we spent a couple of days in Birmingham at the weekend. We went to This Morning Live at Birmingham NEC on Friday, with complimentary tickets we got from the press launch last month. However, we stayed another day as Aldi Mamia kindly invited us to attend The Baby Show. An event for expectant parents and new parents, there was an plethora of stands.
This Morning Live, NEC Birmingham
If you’ve been following my blog and social media accounts, you’ll remember that I went to the press launch of This Morning Live at the ITV Studios in London last month. With home, garden and lifestyle stands, we were excited to go to the show in Birmingham. There were just two things standing in our way…a teething baby and a 150 mile journey in torrential rain!
Trichotillomania – my husband’s story
My husband suffers from trichotillomania. It is a little known mental health condition, which consists of the impulsive pulling of hair, which can be from anywhere on the body. This can result in bald patches and feelings of guilt and embarrassment. I’ve interviewed my husband on his experience of trichotillomania, in an effort to help raise awareness. I have only read stories of women having it online, so I’m hoping that it may help some people to read about a man with the condition.
