5 ways to help an early teether
What I wore to Download Festival 2017
Before I went to Download festival, I wasn’t really sure what to wear. Of course, it’s a rock and metal event, so clothing doesn’t matter as much as a lot of the other festivals around.
However, I didn’t want to be underdressed or stick out like a sore thumb, so I did some research on the internet first. I found other blogs and trawled google images, searching “What to wear to Download festival“.
A tale of tongue tie, bonding issues & a healed heart
This is a guest post from someone I know in real life. She is also a first time mum and wanted to share her story to help other mums. I’ve previously shared my stories of how Autumn fell critically ill at 2 weeks old, my subsequent anxiety and how we had to give up breastfeeding. However, a lot of mums have a tough time in one way or another.
This powerful story discusses bleeding in early pregnancy, labour with some complications, bonding issues, tongue tie and a failed tongue tie procedure once the baby was born. Please be warned that it may be triggering for some.
Download Festival: A weekend of rock and metal!
I’ve desperately wanted to go to Download Festival since I was about 13 or 14. However, I was prevented from going with some anxiety issues I’d had since childhood and a lack of money! When my husband won tickets, I was delighted and determined to enjoy a weekend of rock and metal!

I wanted to get my husband a unique and personal gift for our second wedding anniversary later this month. When Songfinch got in touch with me, I thought the concept behind ordering a personalised song sounded wonderful. I was eager and excited to try it out!

A letter to my daughter at 8 months old
Dear Autumn,
Wow, you’re 8 months old! It seems like no time at all since I wrote the first one of these letters to you at 4 months old. Now you’re twice that age! You’re so big now that I struggle to carry you, especially when you’re in your car seat.
So, what have you been up to this month?
10 little things that make me happy
I was tagged by the lovely Becca at My Girls and Me to write a blog post about 10 little things that make me happy. You can read her post here.
I’m writing this at a time that the attacks on Manchester are still very fresh in people’s minds. However, it’s important to remember that even at times of adversity, good can be seen. It’s important to remember not to take life for granted and focus on the little things that make you happy.
5 reasons you should have a 4D baby scan
When I was pregnant with Autumn, Dave and I were umming and ahing over whether or not to have a 4D scan. When my Mum said she’d found a voucher for Window to the Womb in Bexleyheath on Groupon and that she’d pay half of it, we decided to go for it. We booked it it when I was 32 weeks + 2 days pregnant and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Here are five reasons why you should have one done:
