10 little things that make me happy

I was tagged by the lovely Becca at My Girls and Me to write a blog post about 10 little things that make me happy. You can read her post here.

I’m writing this at a time that the attacks on Manchester are still very fresh in people’s minds. However, it’s important to remember that even at times of adversity, good can be seen. It’s important to remember not to take life for granted and focus on the little things that make you happy.

Here are my 10 things:

1. My daughter

Autumn gives me a reason to smile every day. Her little face just lights up my world, especially when she smiles! I feel so blessed that I get to be her mummy. I feel so thankful that she’s coming along leaps and bounds after everything that happened.

2. My husband

We’ve been together through almost a decade of good times and bad times. We’ve got each other’s back and fall more and more in love with each other each day. I love him for so many reasons. I love the little moments where we mess around, make the other laugh by saying something stupid or when he smiles or has a sparkle in his eye.

3. My friends and family

I am so lucky to have amazing relatives and friends in my life, who make me laugh and smile on a regular basis.

4. Biscuits

What would life be without biscuits?! I love digestive biscuits, in particular!

5. Sunshine

It lifts my mood SO much when I wake up and see blue skies and sunshine! I generally feel so much more energised and motivated.

6. Singing

I love singing, especially when I’m driving. My voice is awful, but in my head I’m a rock star!

7. Writing

You could probably have guessed this one from the fact I blog! Writing is something that I really enjoy and find very cathartic. It particularly makes me happy and fuzzy when my writing helps others.

8. Starting on a new makeup product

I love it when I’ve bought a new makeup product and I get to use it for the first time. It feels so fresh and exciting!

9. Legally Blonde

Yes, it’s cheesy, but Legally Blonde is my favourite film! Whenever I watch it, I just feel so happy, motivated and inspired!

10. Cuddles

Nothing beats cuddles with Autumn (when she lets me ) and my husband. Amongst my favourite cuddles are the ones at the end of the day, right before I fall asleep.

Here’s a throwback cuddle from 2009:

Your daughter is gorgeous. My kids make me extremely happy too (and also mad sometimes lol). I also agree about sunshine lifting the mood. I feel so happy when it’s a sunny day.
