Lockdown Nursery Homeschool: Week 6
Selecting The Perfect Family Car: Factors To Consider
Collaborative Post¦ Let’s be honest about it, choosing a new family car isn’t exactly thrilling. In fact, the whole process can end up giving you a bit of a headache – after all, there’s just so much to think about and consider.
The chances are that the kids will have an opinion about the type or colour of car they want you to buy, while you and your partner will both also have ideas about the kind of car you should get, as well as how much money you should spend on your new vehicle and whether you should buy second-hand or go brand new.
The truth is that purchasing a new family car is a huge investment – whether it’s bought second-hand or brand new – so it’s important to think carefully about what car to get. You need to think about the kind of car you want, whether to buy brand new or second-hand, and how much you want to spend on it at a maximum.
There’s a lot to consider when selecting a new family car, however the process doesn’t have to be a total nightmare. Below is a guide to some of the crucial factors to take into account when it comes to selecting a new family car – have a read, take note, and hopefully you will find selecting a car a little easier and less stressful than you thought it would be.
What Are the Most Popular Options for Carpet Cleaning at Home?
Collaborative Post¦ When choosing the most appropriate carpet cleaning method, we need to pay attention to several important factors. The type of carpet, the degree of soiling of the carpet, the available drying time and possibly the use of pre-treatment agents must be taken into consideration. After clarifying these requirements, the correct domestic carpet cleaning method can be selected.

Collaborative Post¦ Too few of us follow our dreams. It might be difficult to admit to, but it’s true. Life can be confusing, and it’s really easy to end up feeling stuck in a rut, unable to pursue what will make you truly happy. Just as people are all individuals, everyone has individual dreams. Some of you may want nothing more than a big family, whilst others might dream of success in your careers, or living in a particular place, or a combination of all the above. Other than fame – which can strike randomly and which is nearly impossible to predict – all these dreams are completely achievable. It might take hard work, and patience, and just a pinch of luck, but you can have the life you want, as long as you don’t give up on it!
Some of the most popular dreams are being financially secure, having a family, working your dream job, travelling the world and living in your dream home. Read on for a few tips on how to grasp hold of these dreams with both hands, and never let them go.
UK lockdown in our house: Week 4
I don’t know about you, but the weeks seem to be going quicker and quicker as lockdown continues. Perhaps it’s where lockdown life is becoming the ‘new normal’. That said, something happened over the last week that surprised me.
Back to the Garden with Sudocrem
Collaborative Post¦ I’m delighted to be working with Sudocrem again this spring, this time on their new Back to the Garden campaign! I love spending time in the garden with Autumn (aged 3) – more so than ever during the UK lockdown! However, you don’t have to have an outdoor space to enjoy some gardening with children. Let’s take a look about what Back to the Garden is all about. (Psst, there’s also a giveaway!)
UK lockdown in our house: Weeks 2 & 3
The second and third weeks of the UK lockdown went surprisingly quickly, really! I think it’s because we’ve been so busy. Having a 3 year old to keep entertained the whole time definitely keeps me on my toes! Here’s how the 2nd and 3rd weeks of the UK lockdown have been in our household.
Skin Resurfacing: What Are Your Options?
Editorial¦ As the years go by, one thing is certain. Your skin ages. It ages because of hormonal alterations that take place naturally inside it. However, it also ages and experiences damage from various other sources. Considering how much it is exposed to time after time, it is a wonder skin holds up as well as it does. It is no surprise that, no matter how well you take care of it, you may eventually need clinical intervention to help it stay healthy. Skin resurfacing is one technique you can use to regain skin health, but techniques for skin resurfacing vary a lot.
Lockdown Nursery Homeschool: Week 2
Well, this post has taken some time to write up as Autumn has been so full on and I’ve had so many headaches over the last couple of weeks! As well as that, I just haven’t had any blogging mojo. As such, I took an extended break from all things blogging over the Easter weekend. I hope you’ve had a good Easter and are well? Over the last fortnight I’ve been trying to keep my anxious mind quiet with practical things. Gardening. Tidying. Sorting. I digress…
I can’t lie, after a week of lockdown, we really didn’t manage to keep our second week of homeschool as structured as the first! But, you know what? I’m cool with it. I’m finding that as well as keeping structure in some respects, we also need to go with the flow. This is a weird experience for all of us. Autumn has still been enjoying Apple Class, though, and is eager to start most mornings! Here’s what we did over the second week of nursery homeschool (timings are approximate):
Practical Parenting – Getting your kids to take care of their teeth
Collaborative Post¦ Teaching your children to look after their teeth from an early age is critical. This seems obvious. But it is clear from Public Health England (PHE) statistics that many parents are struggling to do this. In the UK, every month, dentists are having to extract around 1,000 rotten teeth from kids who are aged under six.
Studies show that children who are taught to take care of their teeth, from an early age, have better dental health as adults. Because childhood dental health is such an important subject, we are going to explore ways of getting your kids to look after their teeth in this article – if you’re in the Surrey area, check out Weybridge dental practice.
