In the current climate, it seems really odd that only last weekend we were at the cinema. It’s certainly felt like longer than a week with all the news and tension. However, our last cinema trip for the foreseeable future was a lovely experience. Last Saturday, we were invited to see a screening of Julia Donaldson’s Zog and The Highway Rat at Showcase Cinema de Lux Bluewater. Autumn, Dave and I were really excited to see it and relax in the luxurious reclining chairs that make the cinema experience so much better!

Gifts for her from ARRAN Sense of Scotland
Review (Gifted)¦ Last minute Mother’s Day shopping? ARRAN Sense of Scotland could be just the place for you to look. With luxurious products from, and inspired by, the beautiful Isle of Arran, she’ll be able to close her eyes and feel the pressures of the world melt away. Their products are cruelty free, they use natural ingredients and are actively trying to reduce their carbon footprint. These are the kind of ethics I love to see behind a company. As such, I was happy to try out some of their gift range for women and share my thoughts with you.
Review: ContentCal Social Media Planning & Publishing Tool
Collaborative Post¦ Anyone who works with social media knows that you need to post regularly to keep up momentum, ideally across several platforms. There are also certain times of the day that your posts will get more engagement. To make yourself available to do these all manually would be very inconvenient. This is where tools such as ContentCal come in! This tool helps you to plan just about every aspect of your social media content and publish it.
Review & Giveaway: So you want to build a human?
Review¦ I was recently sent a copy of ” So you want to build a human?” by Tom Jackson and Jan Bielecki. I’m genuinely impressed by this book and looking forward to writing this review. I think it’s perfect for children in late primary school and the first 3 or 4 years of secondary school to accompany their learning. I have 4 copies to giveaway – just enter using the widget in this blog post!
Beat That!: The family game you need this Christmas!
Review¦ Whether I’m gathering with friends or family at Christmas, we all enjoy playing a good board game! Now, Beat That! is a little different. Whilst it doesn’t have a board, you do need a large flat space like a dining table. You also need to prepare to make a fool of yourself and laugh a lot while doing all sorts of odd challenges! It’s advertised as 11+ but you could easily modify it so that younger children can play. Our 3 year old loved having a go at some of the challenges.
