Review¦ I was recently sent a copy of ” So you want to build a human?” by Tom Jackson and Jan Bielecki. I’m genuinely impressed by this book and looking forward to writing this review. I think it’s perfect for children in late primary school and the first 3 or 4 years of secondary school to accompany their learning. Beat That!: The family game you need this Christmas!
Review¦ Whether I’m gathering with friends or family at Christmas, we all enjoy playing a good board game! Now, Beat That! is a little different. Whilst it doesn’t have a board, you do need a large flat space like a dining table. You also need to prepare to make a fool of yourself and laugh a lot while doing all sorts of odd challenges! It’s advertised as 11+ but you could easily modify it so that younger children can play. Our 3 year old loved having a go at some of the challenges.
Alice in a Christmas Wonderland at Hever Castle
Gifted¦ Whilst Hever Castle is wonderful in any season, I think Christmas has got to be my favourite time to visit. The castle and its grounds become extra magical, so much so that even adults are left with wonder. Rather fittingly then, this year’s theme was Alice in a Christmas Wonderland.
