Autumn's Mummy 
I’ve previously written about Medway Council’s closure of Sure Start Children’s Centres. The consultation period is over and there has now been a new proposal, as announced last week.
The new proposal means that 13 of the 19 children’s centres will remain open, but the services offered in some of them will be different.
Okay, ‘fess up. Who else loves a good Aldi Baby and Toddler Event? I think I’ve only missed one since I found out I was pregnant with Autumn. I’d been planning to go, but I was kind of busy giving birth that morning!
The next one is tomorrow, Thursday 17th August 2017, so don’t miss out! There are lots of brilliant specialbuys for little ones, including some that I haven’t seen in my 18 months or so of attending them.
Now that Autumn has teeth, we’ve been brushing her teeth for a little while. MAM kindly sent us a Learn to Brush Set to help out! Autumn likes to try to do things independently, so it’s great that it has a smaller brush for her to try and use herself. They also sent us Heat Sensitive Spoons to try, which came with a cover.
The topic of piercing children’s ears is something many feel strongly on. I’m not sure I’d consider it child abuse, but I was shocked to see the video of a baby that recently swept social media, reigniting the debate.

Dear Autumn,
I know I’m biased, but you truly are the most beautiful little girl I’ve ever seen. You’re so perfect. I just want to squish you in a lovely big cuddle, but you wouldn’t let me. You always just want to wiggle away and get back to exploring the world! You are so into everything, it’s so exhausting chasing you around constantly, trying to keep you out of harm’s way. However, I have to remind myself that it’s such a wonderful thing that you’re clearly so intelligent and eager to learn about the world around you.
