4 things to consider when you’re choosing a wedding venue
So, you’re engaged and have now taken the first few steps. You may have chosen a date for your wedding too! In my mind, the next logical thing to organise would probably be the venue. I actually chose my dress before I decided on a venue, but in some cases you may wish to pick your venue first in case you have a theme or become inspired to have one that links into it. I personally think there are four main things that need to be considered:
This Morning Live – Press Launch
Last Friday was a very exciting day indeed. We were invited by Netmums to attend the press launch of This Morning Live. This was held in the studio of This Morning itself, at ITV in The London Television Centre. The event was full of fun and information about This Morning Live, which is being held at the NEC Arena, Birmingham from 18th-21st May 2017.
Sunday Review: Sudocrem Care & Protect
When I was offered the chance to review Sudocrem Care & Protect cream, I was intrigued. I’ve only used normal Sudocrem before and found it brilliant. It’s been around for over 80 years. In fact, my mum used it on my brother and I when we were babies and swore by it. I’d been using it for spots for years before I used it on Autumn’s nappy rash. Recently, she’s been teething and this seems to have made the nappy rash situation worse!
Tea: Why do British people love it?
Today, the 21st of April, marks National Tea Day. There can’t be many more British things to celebrate than it. We have loved it since it first arrived on our shores in the 18th century. Whenever people gather together, they drink tea. Whenever something shocking happens, it is made to help.
Engagement ring – does size matter?
As I’ve previously mentioned, when Dave and I got engaged I was 18 and he’d turned 19 the day before. He was in college, only had a Saturday job and most of his money from that went towards petrol and car maintenance in order to get to work and college. As such, he didn’t have much money spare to buy me an engagement ring and had put a lot of the money he received for his birthday the day before towards it.
Car maintenance tips to avoid breakdown
When you’re a parent, one of the last things you want is for your car to break down. With children in the car, a breakdown becomes even more of a nightmare! While you’re on the way to pick them up is potentially worse. Fortunately, there are things that you can do to make this situation less likely.
Mrs Tickit’s Pantry and Rochester High Street
Last week, my Mum and I decided to pay a visit to Rochester. I love Rochester, with its many pubs and eateries. It also has a lovely variety of quirky shops, perfect for finding gifts for people or something unusual for yourself. I think it is one of the few places where you could probably find something for everyone.
Are young parents bad parents?
When I found out I was pregnant last January I’d just turned 24 years old. I was the same age in September when I gave birth to Autumn. I thought that was probably quite average, I didn’t think it was that young to become a mum for the first time. However, when I started going to baby groups I usually found that I was the youngest there. In one of the groups, a first time mum was only a few months younger than my mum!
