I’m going to try and update a little more regularly now that it’s coming close to eviction day! I’m trying to mentally prepare myself. Half of the time I’m worrying about whether I can do this again and how much it’s going to hurt. Somehow, having given birth before hasn’t really taken away much of my anxiety surrounding labour, even though it was a positive experience! The other half of me is just so excited and can’t wait.

5 ways to baby-proof your rented house

Every house or flat contains potential dangers that you need to protect your baby from. However, in a rented house it can be a bit more of a challenge to baby-proof things. After all, you don’t want to risk losing your deposit by making any permanent changes. As such, you’ll need to speak to your landlord before making any holes in walls!

As if the third trimester is here already. With Autumn, pregnancy seemed to drag on for years. This time, as soon as I got past the morning sickness part (bleh) the days seem to have absolutely flown! I was actually quite shocked when I realised I was in the third trimester. Despite my constant discomfort (thanks PGP) and tiredness, time is still flying. All of a sudden I’m in single figures…less than 10 weeks until I get to meet my baby!

Is vegan pregnancy a healthy option?
Guest Post By Louise Palmer Masterton, Stem & Glory¦ Having experienced first-hand advice from family and so-called ‘experts’ on the subject of veganism, I found that throw vegan pregnancy into the mix, and suddenly it becomes about moral choices. Veganism is ok it seems when it’s our own choice, but can be questioned when we’re dealing with an unborn child. The idea that we’re omnivorous and therefore a vegan diet cannot be safe in pregnancy is a fairly widely held view.
Personally, my experience with being vegan during pregnancy is that it was completely normal. I had no morning sickness, no cravings, no complications, no deficiencies and delivered both my children safely at home. For both pregnancies, I did take a pregnancy multivitamin, and the recommended folic acid. I said to myself when I first became pregnant that if I craved something in pregnancy, then I would eat it. Fortunately, I didn’t have any cravings.
Writing this article got me wondering if my experience was an isolated one, or if in fact many vegan women experience completely problem free pregnancies like I did.
