Training: Why It’s Important!

Collaborative Post¦ If there is one mistake that many small businesses make, it’s not providing enough training to their staff. Employee training is often neglected, leaving small businesses with fewer staff and a much higher turnover. The businesses themselves worry too much about wasting time on training when really, it’s not a waste at all. Training is going to be the backbone of your business, and without it, you will end up with dissatisfied employees and a failing future. Larger businesses often skip out on training and they don’t realise how much of a difference it can make to their staff. Not only that, but without training, you are not furthering your employees’ futures. They come to work for you with the idea that their future is in your hands. They have goals and wishes, and you are able to make them come true if you help them to further their knowledge and expertise.

As a business leader, you have to put yourself in the shoes of your staff, and your customers, when you think about it. Your customers need to know that your staff can cope with queries, but an untrained workforce is often a dangerous one, certainly to the reputation of your organisation. No matter the size of your business, compliance training and other training types are vital to the continuation of the excellent reputation that you have built for yourself. It has to include health and safety training, security training, online software training and more. Whether you employ three people or three hundred people, training has to be well timed, effective and targeted. The right training courses in your business do so much for your employees, and we’ve got some of the reasons it’s important.

Sponsored Post¦ When you live a long way from your family (or friends!) there is no longer any justification for not staying in touch.  Take a look at all of the technological advances that have made staying in touch with family members who live in other countries so much easier. This has not always been the case, though.

In the past, keeping in touch with family members who lived a long distance away required a significant amount of effort and organization. Writing letters, mailing postcards, making phone calls, and waiting for return calls are all activities that fall within this category. Despite this, the time spent nurturing and maintaining healthy connections was critical to the process. Even today, it is vital. Because technology has progressed so far, there are numerous options for staying in touch with family and friends scattered over the world.

Living away from home for major events throughout the year, such as Christmas, Easter, birthdays, anniversaries, and deaths can be difficult for some people. Particularly when everyone in the home location you left behind has the support of one another and the support of the community, you may feel isolated.

Review: Night Owl 3-in-1 Sleeping Bag

Review (Gifted)¦ Sleepovers and camping holidays are so much fun – but all punctuated in my memories by mild discomfort. Sleeping bags. They’re not the comfiest things, are they? Their weird, slippery material leaves a lot to be desired (although, I do remember sliding down the stairs in them at one sleepover, which was pretty good fun!) The zips often seem to be stiff and annoying. They’re also not cosy in a conventional way. I’ve felt like a human burrito wrapped in my duvet at night, but never in a sleeping bag before. I don’t have trouble sleeping, but it takes longer in a sleeping bag. Well, that was the case previously. I don’t want to sound dramatic, but I have discovered a sleeping bag that is going to revolutionise my future family camping trips by giving me the best sleep I’ve ever had in a tent!
