Africa Alive is a zoological reserve in Suffolk that is set in 100 acres of countryside and is home to lions, giraffes, rhinos, meerkats and many other amazing animals found in Africa providing you with a chance to see some of the most majestic animals in the world. Africa Alive is open every day from 9:30 till 18:00 in the summer months with adult tickets costing £23 including a donation or £21 excluding a donation and child tickets (3-15) costing £17 or £15.

In addition to the various activities found throughout the park, there are many great options for food and drink to refuel so you can easily spend an entire day at Africa Alive.

Dos and Don’ts

Do: Go on the safari road train that will show you all around the park, help you to get your bearings and see areas that you can’t access on foot.

Don’t: Spend all your time with the lions, cheetahs, and giraffes. As you can imagine, these are the most popular attractions, and it can get busy.

Do: Book an animal experience that will give you a unique and memorable experience with the amazing animals on show.

Don’t: Ignore the visitor’s code that will show you what you should and should not do for a safe, respectful and enjoyable visit to Africa Alive.

Africa Alive is the perfect place for a family day out because there is so much to discover, and it is a chance to see many incredible animals that you normally only see on the television.
