Review: Country Fashion with Rydale

Review – Gifted¦ With all the stress of the news over the last couple of weeks, on Thursday we decided to go for a walk in the countryside. It was a lovely afternoon and we saw absolutely nobody during our walk (social distancing win!) As we go into lockdown, I think a walk in the woods a couple of days a week will help to keep me sane. The current situation aside, I really enjoyed wearing some classic country pieces from Rydale and channelling my inner Kate Middleton.

The Staple Quilted Jacket

A quilted jacket is surely a must for any country wardrobe. The Wrelton II ladies quilted jacket feels lovely quality and very comfortable. The material is soft and the coat along with its fastenings are well made. Even the gold lining of the jacket, adorned with pheasants, feels luxurious. It was about 14 degrees and this jacket was the perfect weight for a brisk walk. As such, I would say it is perfect for spring and autumn. It could even be worn on cooler summer evenings and warmer summer days, making it a practical choice for all year round.

I chose khaki, but it also comes in two other colours: berry and navy. Sizes from 8-20 are available. I usually wear a size 6 in coats. However, despite there being some room, this was still a good fit on me. Therefore, I’d say it’s true to size.

The Perfect Country Hat

I have wanted a country hat since childhood. When I received my olive Danby wool felt hat, I was not disappointed. Once again, the quality is impeccable. I love the shape of this fedora and the colours of the feathers that adorn it. Fortunately, it was a sunny day. However, these hats are water resistant, so no need to take it off if there’s a shower of rain.

They come in three sizes: Small, medium or large. There is a size guide on Rydale’s website to ensure you pick the right one. More excitingly, there is a huge range of colours in these hats. Whether you mean business, are going to the races or just want to wear yours on country walks or at the farm, there is a colour for you. Colours available are: Olive, navy, brown, blue, red, burgundy, beige, purple and mustard. I found it incredibly hard to pick just one colour!

I was very impressed by Rydale’s customer service and the range and quality of their products. Therefore, I won’t hesitate to shop with them again in the future! In fact, I already have my eye on some Splish Splash wellies for Autumn.

Disclosure: Rydale sent me the aforementioned hat and jacket for the purpose of this review. As always, all views and opinions are honest and my own.
