Sponsored Post with Very¦ With two heatwaves under our belts in the last few weeks, I think it’s safe to say summer has arrived! While I love warm weather, being in the third trimester of pregnancy in a heatwave is horrendous. However, thanks to Very, I’ve been able to keep far more comfortable and also start documenting our summer memories with some brilliant tech. Let’s take a closer look…
Shark FlexBreeze TableMate Indoor to Outdoor High-Velocity Desk Top Fan – FA150UK
This fan is my new best friend, no exaggeration! I can’t usually sleep with a fan going as the noise irritates me too much; much to my husband’s dismay! However, the Shark FlexBreeze is so quiet and miraculously kept me cool enough to sleep as usual during last week’s heatwave. It does get louder as you go up through its 5 speeds, but is still much quieter than any other fans I’ve had. On the first setting, you can barely hear it at all. On occasion I’ve woken up a little too chilled. However, thankfully I’ve been able to change the speed without the hassle of trying to manoeuvre my pregnant self out of bed as it comes with a remote control.

In addition to the convenience of a remote control, you can keep the fan stationary or set it to oscillate 180° . You can also tilt the head of the fan up to 55°. As such, you can make the breeze go exactly where you need it to. With a reach of up to 20 metres, I can feel the benefits of it at the opposite side of the room. It also doesn’t need to remain on its stand. It converts into a desktop fan with a convenient carry handle for taking it outside. The oscillation and tilting work in this mode too!

The whole time it’s plugged in, it’s charging and can hold up to 24 hours of power to run uncorded – perfect for hot, lazy summer days in the garden or at the park. If some typical British rainy weather comes along, no need to worry as it’s water resistant. If the sun does keep shining, it’s UV resistant too!

But have I saved the best function until last? The Instacool Misting Attachment means you can attach a hose to the fan to mist you. This is great for cooling you down even more. If you’re also pregnant, going through the menopause or generally struggle with the heat, this is an absolute dream – as you can see from my face below! With a hot summer forecast, this an absolute must-have and I won’t be going on holiday without it.

Fujifilm Instax Mini Evo Hybrid Instant Camera
Of course, a digital camera is also a must-have to capture all those wonderful summer memories. Having had the original Instax when it came out, I was very intrigued to try out this gorgeous retro looking instant camera! One thing I love in comparison to the original is that you can actually see the photos you take on the LCD screen before you print them out, so you don’t end up wasting film on rubbish pictures! Of course, this also means you are able to print out multiples of the same picture if you want to give them to family/friends. There’s something so fun about being able to print out photos instantly.

As you can see, I’ve had a lot of fun playing with a few different effects as I begin to document our last summer as a family of 4. Compared to the original Instax, there is a lot more room for creativity! There are 10 lens different lens effects, 10 film effects and the option of instax-Rich Mode for a brighter look or instax-Natural Mode for a more classic finish to your photos. There is also greater control over exposure and white balance. You are able to select whether you want flash on or not too. I particularly enjoyed playing with the lens flare and mirror effects!

This camera certainly brings summer vibes to every adventure and will be coming everywhere with me. Once we get to those cosy autumn nights when we become a family of 5, we’ll really enjoy looking back at all our credit card sized memories of the summer and reminiscing!
