What would you do if you won the lottery?

What you’d do if you won the lottery has more than likely crossed your mind at some point. Probably when you were stuck in traffic on the morning commute or unable to afford something luxurious you saw. It’s all so tempting to think that with just one ticket, your life has the potential to change forever!

Home

If I won the lottery, the first thing I’d do would be to upgrade the places my family call home. I’d pay off the mortgages and buy my Nan’s house for her. I’d buy my parents a new house and a bigger home for us. Our current home is quite small, so it would be fantastic to live somewhere that we could expand our family where we wouldn’t be stepping on each other’s toes. Autumn could have a lovely playroom too and we could have a small playground in the garden. I’d also really like to have a big kitchen!

Cars

I’ve always had a keen interest in cars and have a huge list in my head of what I’d buy, should I win the lottery. These range from classics such as a Morris Minor, Sunbeam Alpine and Mini to a modern Range Rover. If you know me, you’ll know that I’m a Land Rover enthusiast. Therefore, the first on my list has to be a Land Rover Defender as I’ve wanted one for so long. My Dad also has quite the list of cars he’d like, so of course I’d help him to acquire those too!

Spend more time with family

My bills would be taken care of, so I wouldn’t need to work. I’m not particularly fond of cleaning, so I’d employ a cleaner. Both of these would free up a lot of my time. This would allow me to spend much more quality time with my family! This would include a lot more days out together and some holidays too.

Learning

There is always so much I want to learn to do. I’m half way through a degree in social sciences, which I love studying for. However, I’m currently on a break from it as I simply cannot find the time to study! Who knows when I’ll be able to pick it up again? There are lots of other things I want to learn too, such as knitting and quilting. I’d also like to learn more about mechanics and welding as they’ve always interested me. My problem? Lack of time and money! Winning the lottery would solve both these things.

Invest

I’d invest some of our winnings in property. I’ve always fancied having a go at property development and I enjoy interior design. This would also be a good way of making that our bank balance gets a healthy top up every once in a while.

Charity

Last, but certainly not least, I’d donate a good chunk to charity. There are several charities close to my heart, so I’d make sure they all saw a healthy amount to help their causes. Perhaps having more free time would allow me to volunteer with one, too!

Of course though, there’s only one way to win…by playing! With millions of pounds up for grabs at Lottoland, some super lucky people are going to win life-changing amounts. I wonder what they’ll do with their winnings?
