3 things in 15 minutes to feel more “you”, less “mum”

As wonderful as motherhood is, a lot does change and that takes some adjusting to! I often find myself putting on the same combinations of jeans and t-shirts or jumpers each day. Once I’ve finished work, I slap on some concealer and foundation, quickly put a brush through my hair and rush off to collect Autumn from her childminder. With all the additional things to do in my daily life, I’ve definitely not taken care of myself as much. I’ve been meaning to paint my nails for weeks now, but they’re still bare. Trichotillomania – my husband’s story

My husband suffers from trichotillomania. It is a little known mental health condition, which consists of the impulsive pulling of hair, which can be from anywhere on the body. This can result in bald patches and feelings of guilt and embarrassment. I’ve interviewed my husband on his experience of trichotillomania, in an effort to help raise awareness. I have only read stories of women having it online, so I’m hoping that it may help some people to read about a man with the condition.
