Review (Gifted)¦ At the age of almost 33, I’m starting to notice some signs of aging. I’ve got some small lines just underneath my eyes and I feel that my skin is a lot duller than it used to be. Unfortunately, I never really grew out of teenage spots. After an extremely stressful few months, my face has also become very dry in places and possibly developed some psoriasis. I’m always tired and well known for regularly catching colds, usually within a couple of months of the children going back to school. These are all things that Revive Collagen has the potential to help with, according to a combination of information and reviews on their website. I was excited to put their new vegan collagen to the test in the hope it would help some of my qualms!
Wait, VEGAN collagen exists?
I was surprised too! When I was first contacted to try Revive Collagen a couple of years ago I was unable to. Partially because I was breastfeeding, but also because the original version contains marine collagen. This is a protein derived from the skin and scales of fish. As a vegetarian, that is a big nope from me. However, now that there is a vegan alternative I was happy to try it. Even more so as Revive Collagen’s website claim that it is the world’s first clinically proven vegan collagen. The marine collagen alternative used, VeCollal®, cleverly mimicks human type 1 collagen using amino acids from fermented plant sources.
What else does Revive Collagen Vegan contain?
Panax Ginseng which is an antioxidant and inflammatory, helping to reduce fine lines and wrinkles
Retinol to boost collagen production and skin renewal ‘for a radiant complexion’
Biotin to help stimulate keratin production and promote healthy hair
Vitamin B6 to help reduce tiredness and fatigue
100% Vitamin C & D which are powerful antioxidants, helping to aid in collagen production and brightening the skin
Vitamin E to support the immune system and skin health
It’s cruelty free, has no artificial flavours or colourings and no added sugar. It’s also free of dairy, GMOs, gluten, lactose and soy.
What I thought after using for 28 days
Flavour
You can have Revive Collagen Vegan directly from the sachet, or mix it with water. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it didn’t taste disgusting. It has a kind of bitter raspberry flavour. As such, I decided not to mix it with water and just took it directly from the sachet every day. This was very convenient.
Skin
My skin definitely looks and feels more supple and smooth as a result. I haven’t noticed a difference in the little lines I have, but my skin feels younger so I think this would help to prevent more lines or the ones I have from getting worse. I think my skin tone is more even and less red too. Unfortunately, I haven’t noticed a difference in my spots or dry skin/psoriasis.
Before (left) and after (right)
Hair
My hair feels thicker since I started taking these. My hairdresser commented on how healthy my hair looks and feels, despite it being bleached and dyed unnatural colours!
Nails
My nails are definitely growing faster and are stronger too.
Energy
I really struggle with low energy and have done for years, so I wasn’t expecting any miracles. However, I think I have noticed a small improvement in my energy levels.
Cost
At the time of writing, if you purchase Revive Collagen Vegan as a one-off, it’s £37.99 for 14 days supply or £75.98 for a 28 day supply. However, if you subscribe, it takes 15% off. This reduces it to £32.30 for 14 days or £64.60 for 28 days. You currently also get a free gift of Beauty Balance gummies worth £19.99! Delivery is free.
If you can afford to, I think it’s worth at least giving it a try to see what it does for you. Maybe even pop it on your Christmas list! Of course, each experience is personal. While I’ve noticed small differences, some people have noticed dramatic changes in their health and appearance!
Disclosure: I received the aforementioned product in exchange for this review. As always, opinions are honest and my own.
