Gifted I don’t know about you, but all the recent warmer sunny weather has made me think ahead to summer. I’ve enjoyed taking a moment to just enjoy feeling the warmth of the sun on my face and daydream about summer holidays and spending time on the beach. Of course, if you’re staying in the UK, preparation is key. You never know quite when warm weather will hit and how long it lasts! So, as we begin to emerge into holiday season, whether you’re staying at home or abroad, now is the time to start looking for the perfect swimming costume or bikini!
When I chose swimwear before I had Autumn, my choices were made mostly based on what it looked like and whether it would make me look flat-chested! Now, my decisions are based on what won’t show the many stretch marks I gained during my pregnancy. Although I quite like them in a way, I don’t necessarily have the confidence to wear a bikini that shows them. That said, whenever I see other women showing theirs in a bikini, I’m always so happy to see them having the confidence to wear what they want to!
Personally, I tend to go for either swimming costumes that cover my stomach area, so avoiding certain cut outs. Alternatively, I look for a high waisted bikini that will extend above my belly button. This can be harder than it sounds sometimes, though. I’m only 27 and am not ready to sacrifice style!
When I was looking at UK Swimwear’s website, I adored the shape of the Gottex Profile Rainforest High Neck Swimsuit. It’s a lovely, elegant shape that is modest enough for me to wear to Autumn’s swimming lessons. The mesh neckline is gorgeous. Meanwhile, the fact that the mesh extends to the area with laser cutout details means that for the first time since giving birth I can feel comfortable wearing a cutout over my stomach area! The laser cut detail is such a pretty, elegant design too.
As if it didn’t already tick so many boxes, I actually really like that the mesh and detail doesn’t extend to the back.
Instead, at the back it has a gorgeous double strap design.
I can’t wait to wear it to Autumn’s next swimming lesson, let alone on the beach in the summer! This is easily the happiest and most confident I’ve felt in a swimming costume for years. Not only that, but it arrived extremely quickly too!
There is so much choice at UK Swimwear, I’d definitely recommend taking a good look. You’re bound to find something you like there, whatever your needs!
Disclosure: I was gifted the aforementioned swimsuit in return for this review. As always, all views and opinions are honest and my own.
