I’ve been a big fan of false eyelashes for years now. Occasionally I wear them in the day, but I mostly wear them for a special occasion or if I’m going out somewhere. With some lashes, I feel a little too aware that I’m wearing them and sometimes they look too much or too little. When Esqido approached me to try out some of their lashes, I was intrigued. With celebrity fans including Rihanna and Victoria’s Secret angels including Gigi Hadid, I had to see what all the fuss was about.

Finding the right lash

Esqido have such a variety of lashes, there is something to suit anyone. They offer mink lashes or Unisyn™ lashes, the latter of which I am trying. Unisyn™ are ‘the world’s first true premium synthetic false eyelashes, made with a blend of ultra-fine synthetic fibres for an ultra-natural look’.

The website has a handy guide to help you to choose what lashes would suit you best. It asks you a number of questions. These range from your eye shape to your style and what kind of occasions you want to wear the lashes on. It came up with three results for me, my favourite of which was Gin & Tonic.

My lashes arrived very quickly! Retailing at $22, this converts to approximately £16.70 and Esqido offer free delivery worldwide. The address on the envelope showed that the order was actually fulfilled from Northampton, so there’s no need to worry about long delivery times or customs charges!

My natural eyelashes are fairly long, but I do like the boost that fake lashes give and I was excited to give these beautiful, fluttery looking lashes a go.

Application

The packaging was really cute and easy to open. I’ve never seen such nicely presented eyelash glue either! I needed to cut the lashes down quite a lot as they were far too wide for my eyelids. Application was straightforward and I could instantly feel that they were so much lighter than the false lashes I’ve worn before. The material used to make them feels lovely and natural too.
