Now that we’re well into October, it won’t be long before the barrage of pumpkin patch photos start flooding social media. Our local pick your own opens tomorrow and I can’t wait. We’ll likely be making a visit, just as we did last year and the year before. However, last weekend we went out to pick something much sweeter! Growing healthy little feet with Dotty Fish

We all want to do the best for our children. I remember my parents being careful what shoes they bought me when I was growing up, as they knew the importance of looking after children’s feet carefully as they grow. This is something I’ve continued with Autumn, making sure that I have her feet measured regularly. However, I have recently learned about soft soled shoes and the effect they have on the health of baby’s feet. Review: Hape Shape Sorter Xylophone

Babies can appreciate music even when they’re in the womb. Seeing Autumn enjoy dancing to music is one of my favourite things. In recent months, we’ve made the move onto playing musical instruments together too. This is a brilliant way to help develop their language and listening skills. We’ve been hitting saucepans with wooden spoons and shaking rice in bottles for a while as well as attending various classes. However, Autumn’s first ‘proper’ instrument was a xylophone kindly sent to us to review.
