Rock ‘n’ roll and cupcakes: My 30th Birthday in London

Happy New Year! I think you can still get away with saying that if it’s still within the first couple of weeks of the year? I’ve had an extended break from the blog since just before Christmas which has been quite reinvigorating! However, I’ve been keeping busy as I returned from maternity leave to my day job, celebrated Christmas and celebrated several relative’s and friend’s birthdays. This included my own birthday at the beginning of January, when I turned 30 (eek!) I celebrated with a trip to London, doing some things I’ve wanted to do for years!

Week Two: 30 Days Wild 2021

After a successful first week of 30 Days Wild, I think I speak for us both when I say we were excited to start a new week of fun nature related activities! Already, I have noticed that Autumn is paying attention to nature more. Me too, actually. I have noticed she’s becoming braver regarding nature too. Week One: 30 Days Wild 2021

Last Tuesday, I stumbled across 30 Days Wild in a Facebook group I’m in. It’s a fun challenge set by The Wildlife Trusts to take part in ‘one random act of wildness’ each day. I immediately set about planning some activities for us for the month ahead! When I told Autumn about it, she seemed excited too. I’m hoping that this will help her to learn about and appreciate the natural world more and for us both to feel more connected to nature. Too often we’re rushing around busily and just don’t notice things. Here’s how our first week went.
