We were recently invited to the opening of a new play area for children under 7 at Hever Castle, which took place yesterday. This new playground, fittingly called Acorn Dell, blends in with the Tudor Towers play area. It continues the castle theme, with castellations featuring in both the play area and the seating area at the top. The natural aesthetic of the playground is fantastic and encourages children to use their imagination.
JB Gill, formerly of JLS, who presents Down on the Farm on CBeebies was the guest of honour to cut the blue ribbon before the playground was opened. His wife Chloe and 3 year-old son Ace also attended. Of course, the new playground needed some little testers! View Post
After Autumn was born, I used normal cotton baby towels on her. They did the job and we had some absolutely beautiful towels gifted to us when she was first born. However, when I first used a bamboo towel on her, I was amazed. The material was softer and much more absorbent.
Recently, we’ve been trying out Zhelar‘s bamboo towels, as well as their washcloths. Read on to see what we thought. View Post
If you have a baby, chances are you may have heard of Childs Farm. Whilst I’ve tried out other great bathtime products, I’ve been itching to try out these products since Autumn was a newborn. I was delighted when I was approached with a lovely gift hamper to test out.
Autumn loves her bath time, so she’s always more than happy to be my little guinea pig when it comes to trying out bath products! View Post
I’m always worried to some extent about what products we’re using as a family. When I look at the back of packaging, there are always just so many ingredients and chemicals that I don’t recognise. I also worry more and more about the environmental effects of products that we’re using. We’ve recently been trying out some products from The Natural Family Co, including some from their Jack N’ Jill kid’s range. View Post
If there’s something I like doing, it’s helping to support local businesses. I met Harry & Rose at The Baby Show in Birmingham, but was delighted to find out they’re from Kent. At The Baby Show, I bought some of their Baby Nappy Spray. I love it as it’s so gentle, smells pleasant and you don’t have to rub it into your baby’s bottom. This is much easier now that Autumn’s on the move! It seems to have helped. We also tried some of their Baby Soft Lotion, which I was also impressed with.
When the opportunity arose to try Harry & Rose Hair – Body Wash, I was eager to give it a try. View Post
