It’s been absolutely ages since I last wrote about Autumn’s favourite books. She still absolutely adores books, so much so that a few months ago I bought a small bookshelf for our living room. As it’s at such a low height, she can get her books herself and look through them independently or ask us to read them. Although her vocabulary obviously doesn’t extend that far, being 13 months old, she waves the book at one of us and makes a noise! Although she looks at all of them, she has some definite favourites at the moment. View Post
Going back a couple of generations, looking after the home and children was very much thought of as “women’s work”. However, with the rise of stay-at-home dads and dads seeming to be more hands-on in general, I wondered what my husband’s thoughts were. He’s wonderfully hands on with Autumn and has expressed in the past that he is worried about missing her doing different things like crawling and walking for the first time. I thought I’d do a little interview with him about his thoughts on paternity leave and working, leaving his baby at home. View Post
Sometimes we have memories from childhood that stand out in our mind. It doesn’t always necessarily always make sense to us as adults. However, occasionally it’s because something happened that elicited strong emotions at the time. Even if we would have responded differently now and it seems a little silly, these events can sometimes have a lasting effect on us.
I’ve really enjoyed my When I found out I was pregnant guest series over the last few weeks. We’ve had such a variety of stories! I’ve been asked whether I’m going to share my story, so I thought I would!
Hi and welcome to my When I found out I was pregnant guest series! It was originally supposed to be a 12 week series, but not everyone responded. To be honest, I’m worried about having too much of a good thing and overdoing it anyway. As such, this will be the final week of the guest series and as has been requested, I will reveal my story next Saturday.
This week I’m excited to introduce Mummy Confessions from Down Under, who wondered how she was going to tell her husband!
