I’ve recently been thinking about redesigning our back garden to make it more family friendly. It’s entirely patio and therefore is no good for playing with Autumn. I want to keep the patio at the top of the garden, but have the rest as lawn. Something we’ve been considering is having fake grass, rather than real. This is something I hadn’t even considered until recently, as I was of the opinion that real is best. However, I have changed my mind after doing some research into it!
No matter what your walk of life is, I’m sure you’ve experienced times in your life that you’ve needed money fast. Perhaps you’re in that situation now? I’ve read that it’s generally a good idea to have at least three times your monthly salary saved up in the bank in case of an emergency. However, many people simply don’t have this, or even any savings at all. So what do you do if you need money fast? Life is unpredictable and sometimes you need cash quickly. I can think of 4 times over the last few years that I have! View Post
Last week, I celebrated my 26th birthday. I can’t believe that this year, my husband and I have been together for a whole decade! I’m also very scared of how close I’m getting to the big three-oh. It feels like time has just flown terrifyingly fast since I left school.
Anyway, it seems like a good time to set some goals for the following year. So, why not do that cliché blogger thing and think of 26 as that’s how many years I’ve been on the planet? View Post
If you’ve been reading my blog, you’ll have seen that I like to participate in blogger tags from time to time. They’re just a bit of fun to find out more about the person behind the blog. Thank you to Debbie at My Chaotically Eclectic Life for tagging me!

Going back a couple of generations, looking after the home and children was very much thought of as “women’s work”. However, with the rise of stay-at-home dads and dads seeming to be more hands-on in general, I wondered what my husband’s thoughts were. He’s wonderfully hands on with Autumn and has expressed in the past that he is worried about missing her doing different things like crawling and walking for the first time. I thought I’d do a little interview with him about his thoughts on paternity leave and working, leaving his baby at home. View Post
