Making your home ready for Christmas

Making your home ready for Christmas

We’re nearing the end of October now and by this time next week the ‘C word’ will be next month! Yes folks, I’m afraid that Christmas is exactly two months away now! As such, I’m beginning to get prepared. I’d hoped that my lounge would be redecorated by now, but we do have a new sofa coming which should arrive in time. If I choose Christmas decorations in the right colour scheme this year, they’ll be ready for when everything looks much lovelier for Christmas 2018.

Making the home ready for Christmas and choosing decorations is something I really enjoy. Every year as a child and teenager, I remember helping my mum to select a few new decorations for the tree. She always puts so much effort into making Christmas feel extra special and her tree always looks fantastic. Even if I don’t buy anything, I always have to go to the local garden centres each year to admire their displays. Recently I’ve been browsing on Cox & Cox‘s website and I’ve put together a whole wishlist! View Post

Blog On Xmas 2017 Highlights

Blog On Xmas 2017 Highlights

I’d heard a lot about Blog On before buying a ticket, not least the rumours about amazing goody bags! I’d met a few bloggers before at the press launch of This Morning Live, but I hadn’t been to a blogging event as such. It was a long¬† 7 month wait for Blog On Xmas after buying my ticket in February, but it didn’t seem to take long to come round!

I was racked with nerves as I left my hotel to go to Hotel Football for the conference, but I needn’t have been as I had one of the best days ever! I’ve never been ‘oop north’ before, so that’s something ticked off of my list of things to do before I’m 30! It was totally worth the 5 hour journey from Kent, even though I did get home past midnight and felt an absolute wreck the next day. If you are thinking about going to a Blog On event next year, I wholeheartedly recommend it and was glad I chose it for my first blogging event. Here are my highlights of the day: View Post

Sunday Review: Bodyform Black Pantyliners

Sunday Review: Bodyform Black Pantyliners

A few weeks ago, one of my best friends went to Bluewater and saw the following advert for black pantyliners in a changing room:

She took a photo of it and sent it to our Facebook messenger group. A whole conversation ensued. Why were Bodyform making black liners? It almost seemed like it was something that could be an April fool. However, it is actually a real product! View Post

Tudor falconry at Dover Castle

Tudor falconry at Dover Castle

On Saturday (9th September), Dave and I decided we’d visit Dover Castle with Autumn. Birds of prey, particularly owls, are one of my many interests. As such, I really wanted to go and watch their historic falconry displays. Whilst I’ve watched several displays before, this one is different as it looks at the historic elements of falconry. In this case, the focus was Tudor falconry. View Post
