I’m also very scared of how close I’m getting to the big three-oh. It feels like time has just flown terrifyingly fast since I left school.

Meeting the Duchess of Cambridge with Family Action

Last Tuesday, Autumn and I both had what was probably a once in a lifetime experience. We were asked to attend a (non blog related) event with Family Action. The VIP guest was none other than our future Queen, the Duchess of Cambridge!

This was a very exciting prospect for me, as I’ve always followed her in the media and found her very likeable. However, I was also looking forward to helping Family Action to express various perinatal mental health issues and just how necessary their support is.

Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Charity

Less than a year ago, I had a seriously ill child. I know first hand just how awful it is to be in that situation as a parent. You just feel so helpless. In many ways, I expect it’s worse when your child is older and actually aware of everything that’s going on.

I’d like to bring your attention to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and the amazing work that they do. They care for over 270,000 young people and their families each year, as well as carrying out important research. This research includes children’s medicines, infection, inflammation and oncology.

30 things to do before 30

As my friends keep reminding me, as I have recently turned 25 I am now closer to 30 than I am 20! Quite frankly, this kind of scares me as time seems to have gone so fast since I was 16 and seems to go quicker each year. As such, I felt the need to make a list of things I’d like to do before I turn 30. Hopefully I can achieve quite a few of these, so even if the time goes quickly, I’ll feel like I’ve achieved a lot with it!
