Sunday Review: Malée Natural Science

Sunday Review: Malée Natural Science

If you’ve been following my blog for a while now, you’ll know that I only review products of brands that I’m genuinely interested in. Part of the beauty of what I do is that I get to work with amazing people and as well as working with brands I already know and love, I get introduced to new brands I can be passionate about too! Malée was not a brand that I’d heard of prior to the opportunity arising to review some of their products. However, they are definitely worth getting to know!

As I get older, I find myself increasingly worried about what products I’m using. Especially since becoming a mum, I find that I worry about what they contain. After all, I can’t stop Autumn from pressing her little face against mine or touching my skin. I also find myself being more concerned about whether products are cruelty free or not and their impact on the environment. View Post

Blog On Xmas 2017 Highlights

Blog On Xmas 2017 Highlights

I’d heard a lot about Blog On before buying a ticket, not least the rumours about amazing goody bags! I’d met a few bloggers before at the press launch of This Morning Live, but I hadn’t been to a blogging event as such. It was a long  7 month wait for Blog On Xmas after buying my ticket in February, but it didn’t seem to take long to come round!

I was racked with nerves as I left my hotel to go to Hotel Football for the conference, but I needn’t have been as I had one of the best days ever! I’ve never been ‘oop north’ before, so that’s something ticked off of my list of things to do before I’m 30! It was totally worth the 5 hour journey from Kent, even though I did get home past midnight and felt an absolute wreck the next day. If you are thinking about going to a Blog On event next year, I wholeheartedly recommend it and was glad I chose it for my first blogging event. Here are my highlights of the day: View Post

Trying coloured contact lenses

Trying coloured contact lenses

I’ve always liked the look of coloured contact lenses. It’s important to get them from a reputable source though, as in the past I’ve heard of people obtaining serious eye problems from using cheaply made ones. Of course, you should know how to put them in and take them out without hurting yourself too. If in doubt, go to see your optician.

The opportunity recently arose to try a couple of colours from Lentiamo. I am short sighted, so I got mine with a prescription in them.  View Post

Review: LA Tanning Company Mousse

Review: LA Tanning Company Mousse

In the summer, I tend to become a lot more self conscious of my pale skin. I’ve actually been known to have paler skin than my ginger best friend. Yes, really. That’s how pale I am!

When I was a teenager, I went through the standard rite of passage of using a tinted lotion to build up a tan. However, I’d somehow end up streaky and with strange orange lines around my forehead. The thought of having a fake tan sounded good to me, but I never dared do it myself in case I did it wrong again. Until now, that is! View Post

The Beauty Blogger Tag

The Beauty Blogger Tag

I’ve seen a few variations of this tag floating around, but the general jist seems to be that you answer 25 beauty related questions. You then think of 25 questions and tag other beauty bloggers to answer them! While I’m not primarily a beauty blogger, I do occasionally blog about beauty products (including these reviews on Kat Von D’s liquid lipstick and Benefit’s Roller Lash). I love blogging about beauty, I just don’t feel I’m good enough with beauty products to blog about them all the time! View Post
