Review It can be difficult knowing what to buy your Mum, wife or other loved one for Mother’s Day. Sometimes it just seems a little cliché to go for flowers, as lovely as they are. However, if you run a little more creatively with the idea of flowers, you can end up with something really special. FlowerBe offer a one off flower bundle with a kid’s creative box to give the flowers that personal touch. Alternatively, this can be done as part of a subscription, resulting in a gift that spreads joy across several months.
My delivery of flowers from FlowerBe came in a long cardboard box, which was very well packed. There were little bags of gel around the bottom of the flower stems to keep them happy in transit.
It was really fun to unpack and it’s evident that a lot of thought has gone into this. The only thing not provided was the water, cutting tools or vase. (The latter two can actually be purchased from their website if you so wish, though!)
Once you’ve unpacked everything, it’s time to grab your child(ren) and get creative! There’s a special picture for them to colour in. Then it’s time to tie the stems together in whichever way you’d like with the supplied ribbon.
Depending on their age, you may need to help them with this, as well as wrapping the paper and tissue paper around the flowers in a cone. Once that part is done, they can stick their picture on with the pretty washi tape provided!
Once the flowers have been received, there are instructions to help you display them in the vase well. I’m not great at flower arranging, but followed the instructions and they turned out to look really lovely (although still not quite professional!)
After a couple of days, I was surprised to see more flowers open up, too! They’re so beautiful, fresh and spring-like; they’ll certainly bring a smile to whoever receives them.
I really enjoyed the creative process involved in arranging these beautiful flowers. It was nice to take some time to do something relaxing for myself, which is something many of us mums don’t find the time to do ordinarily.
Prices start at £30, find out more here.
For Mother’s Day flowers with even more of a twist, how about a beef jerky bouquet? You can see examples at awesomegifts.com!
Disclosure: I was gifted a beautiful box of flowers from FlowerBe including a Kid’s Creative Box in return for this review. As always, all views and opinions are honest and my own.
