December is now in full swing and Christmas is almost close enough to touch! There’s always a lot to be thought about, from making the home festive to finding the perfect Christmas party outfit! Luckily, JD Williams have you covered for any eventuality, from gifts to decorations to sparkly dresses!
I have been getting so excited about Christmas over the last week or so. Festive scents fill the air, the decorations are down from the loft and there are even mini Christmas trees in the garden!
Here’s my top pick of things to help get yourself and the home ready for the big day!
Would you rather go for a statement dress, or statement shoes? If your reply is “dress”, this gorgeous Joe Browns dress has a lovely flowery design with a little bit of shimmer. Available in sizes 12 to 32, it’s a flattering shape, perfect for skimming mum tums. It retails for £65, but at the time of writing is reduced to a more purse-friendly £45.50!
I love going for shoes that make a statement sometimes, with a simple dress to really let them shine through! JD Williams have a fantastic choice of shoes. Burgundy is very fashionable right now – it absolutely dominated the catwalk at New York Fashion Week Fall 2017! Velvet has also made another comeback recently, (woohoo!), so these £38 shoes are perfect. As if it couldn’t get better, the bow is interchangeable too. You can stick to the glittery festive bow, or go for a more subtle black velvet bow. As such, these would be a perfect candidate to take you straight from the office to the party!
They would go beautifully with this bell sleeved shift dress. Be quick though, it was £39 but is now reduced to £29 and sizes are selling out fast!
This year, I’m taking a hygge approach and going for cosy things to make our home feel Christmassy. When Autumn goes to bed, I love getting out a candle and snuggling up to my husband and a blanket on the sofa. This knitted reindeer throw is perfectly festive and feels such lovely quality. It was £35, but is now down to £24.50.
It’s not just inside you can decorate and make look cosy, of course. I adore coming home to see my path lined with mini Christmas trees. When it snowed over the weekend, they looked even more magical! A set of 4 (which span up to 1.5m) are £25 and simply stake into the ground. There are 3 light sequences to choose from.
So, how are you preparing for Christmas? I’d love to hear from you!
Disclosure: This is a collaborative post with JD Williams. I received 2 sets of Christmas tree path finders and a reindeer knitted throw for the purpose of this blog post. As always, all views and opinions are honest and my own.
