BlogOn Xmas Jumper Linky – meet Autumn’s Mummy!

Hooray, I’m going to my first blogger’s event later this month! September’s BlogOn is Christmas themed and I can’t wait to rock my Christmas jumper, learn lots and meet other bloggers. If you’ve heard of BlogOn, you’ve more than likely heard of the goodies too and the fact that you NEED TO TAKE A SUITCASE. I have been assured that this isn’t a hoax, so I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t be excited about ALL THE STUFF! I’ll also be officially ‘up north’ for the first time in my life, finally ticking off one of the things on my 30 before 30 list.

The questions have just been released for the BlogOn Xmas Jumper Linky. I’m taking part as a little ‘getting to know me’ post before I meet some of my lovely fellow bloggers later this month! Please wave hello in the comments, (and in Manchester), and direct me to your posts!

Without further ado, here are the questions and my answers…

  1. Please share your favourite photo of you.
I generally hate photos of myself, so that’s a difficult one! There are actually a few photos I quite like of myself from my wedding day. This is one of my most favourites:

That’s not really going to help you to recognise me at BlogOn though, so let’s throw in this more recent mugshot type one:
The pink had pretty much faded out of my hair there, which is just how it looks at the moment. I’m hoping I might have dyed it bright pink again by then, but I doubt it. My daughter is 11 months old and with her birthday month coming up in September, my husband’s birthday and BlogOn, this is looking like a very expensive month!

  2. If you could choose a band to play in your garden for your birthday, who would you pick?
There are so many awesome bands, it’d be hard to choose just one! After seeing them at Download, I think I’d possibly pick Airbourne as I think they’d get the party going and they’re funny between songs too.
    Airbourne Download 2017
  3. What do you take with you for long visits to the toilet?
My phone, like most people these days. I keep things hygienic though, don’t worry!
  4. What word can’t you spell?
I can’t actually think of any words that I can’t spell. I always have to think a little harder when I want to write the word chauffeur, if that counts?
  5. What’s the most unusual job you’ve ever had?
Apart from being a mum, I haven’t really had any unusual jobs. That said, whilst working in retail isn’t an unusual job, you certainly witness or are involved in some unusual situations!
  6. Knitting, sewing or crotchet?
I’d love to be able to do any of them, but at the moment I’d particularly like to learn how to crochet. One of my best friend’s mums crocheted an octopus toy and some beautiful blankets for Autumn, which has sparked my interest. Apparently it’s easier than knitting, too.
  7. Without looking it up, what is a jerkinhead?
I have no idea. Someone that’s a bit of a pickle (like a gherkin), but in a jerkish kind of way? Is it a northern thing, or am I completely barking up the wrong tree?
  8. If you could have as much of one food as you wanted forever, what would it be?
This is going to put you off of me, but probably salad. As long as it was a really nice salad, of course! I could pretty much always eat a good salad with potatoes and cheese. Yum!
  9. What is the scariest thing you’ve ever done?
    Probably giving birth!
  10. If you needed a getaway driver, who would you choose?
My Dad. He’s good behind the wheel and is a quick thinker.
  11. Would you rather live in Narnia or at Hogwarts?
Hogwarts, because I love Harry Potter and I’d love to experience everything at Hogwarts! I would love to meet Mr. Tumnus though. My husband kind of reminds me of him, haha!
  12. What snack food says ‘Christmas’ to you?
Terry’s Chocolate Orange, not that it’s just for Christmas! Oh, and cheese savouries.
  13. Is there life on Mars?
    I don’t think so, no.
  14. Which Christmas movie would you be a character in, and who would play you?
I would LOVE to be in Elf, it’s one of my favourite films at any time of the year! I adore Jennifer Lawrence and would love her to play me.
  15. What are you proudest of?
    My beautiful little girl, Autumn.

oooh Terry’s Chocolate orange totally reminds me of Christmas – my Dad used to get 3 of them each year and each of us kids gave my Mum one as her present. very poor show! 😀
Each year I say i’m going to make a million paper snowflakes and decorate my house like Elf, yet I never do 😀

How could I have forgotten about Chocolate orange when I was writing my post?! I wish I loved salad, maybe I wouldn’t need to diet so often if my dream food wasn’t cheesy chips ha!

I’m sure we’ll have a great time – there’s a confidence workshop first thing too which may help 🙂 x

Great, I’ll keep an eye out for you! 🙂 I love chocolate orange cake – my Mum makes one for my birthday sometimes and if I’m lucky it turns out more cake-like than biscuit-like 😉
