What’s in my handbag?

Before I really started blogging I saw blog posts like this and always found them fun to read. After all, us humans are quite nosy by nature. I think every woman has some essential things that she always keeps in her handbag! Here is a list of 12 things that I always tend to have in my handbag:

1.    My Cath Kidston Purse

I got this purse in a January sale with some Christmas money I had. I was previously using a lovely River Island purse, but it was so heavy, especially as my River Island handbag is also quite heavy. My favourite colour is green and I loved the design and texture of this purse.

2.    Gloves

I loved these gloves when I saw them, as they have whimsical characters on them. They’re very ‘me’, but I also thought they’d be very good at entertaining Autumn when we’re out and about – hence why they’re still in my bag in August!

3.    Kleenex tissues

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from my Nan over the years, it’s always be prepared with tissues in your handbag! Even if you don’t have a cold you need them as you don’t know when they’ll come in handy.

4.    A bottle of water

I always try to have a bottle of water with me as it’s so important to stay hydrated.

5.    4 lipsticks

I can often never decide what lipstick I want to wear and sometimes I even change it up on the same day. These are the 4 lipsticks that I wear the most.

6.    Polos

Great for freshening breath after eating, good for indigestion and just nice to have sometimes. I started carrying them around with me when I was pregnant with Autumn as I found that they helped to ease my nausea a little.

7.    Rescue remedy

I’m prone to anxiety, so I always have rescue remedy with me in some form. Currently, I have the pastilles. They come in different flavours and work pretty well!

8.    Anxiety pills

I haven’t needed to take any of these since just before Download Festival. Again, they’re there as a safety blanket. I don’t want to take them, but somehow I feel better knowing they’re there if I need to.

9.    Stamps

I don’t send letters that often, but I keep stamps in my bag so that when I do I know exactly where they are!

10. Chocolate

I’m often running around taking Autumn different places, (she has a better social life than me), so I need a quick pick-me-up!

11. Car keys

In my bag currently, ready for me to go out!

12. Receipts and miscellaneous other bits of paper

Yep, I should spring clean my handbag. There are a few receipts and a hairdressers appointment card in here!

So, there you go! That’s pretty much everything I keep in my handbag on a regular basis.
